Day Four

One more day to go and I know those classmates of mine who have been her for two weeks are so over all this and ready to get back to their families and their own beds. I know my turn will come next summer when I will feel the same types of things having been here for two weeks.

Today's class was again full of lots of great information and I really enjoyed the Audasity Voice over assignment. Our group had great fun putting that together as I am sure everyone could see. Even though some thought it was not the "Liberty Way"...:) We still had a great time. I learned many things about photo editing which will be fun and more about movie maker. That itself will help my time so much at the end of the year next year when creating videos.

Glad to have completed the group project and I have been blessed with a great group to work with. Very thankful we are almost to the end.

Now I just have to get the prospectus done sometime soon. If I only I would hear the words...Don't Worry about it...my life would be perfect for a short moment. So needless to say I know lots of people are stressed about that among other things they are doing in other classes. We must press on!!

Day Three

Day three proved to be another informative day with great tools for possible use in the classroom. I know several people are probably going to mention Second Life since it was a topic of our discussion when we were leaving for lunch. It seems like a great idea but I can easily see how this can open up for a world of trouble and unethical behavior for individuals who would be really involved. Again...there seems to be some aspects of the program that would prove to be beneficial so I will try to keep an open mind about the program. I can say however that my FIRST life is busy enough without having to worry about creating a SECOND one.

I feel that our group is on the right track and we have progressed nicely with our presentation. It has been great working together and learning more about web-based learning since we are all in the midst of the information.

The best topic for today...which I am sure most would agree was the dissertation stuff. Some much needed questions were answered for many. I am not close enough to that point so I am not going to stress too much over all the information. I am going to process it all...read the handbook and take it once step at a time.

Day Two

Wow....overload...but in a great way. There are so many things that if only we had the time to sit down and really learn how to utilize each tool we are given in application software. My eyes were opened to so many new pieces of each program that I was unaware of and am excited about being able to use. I have learned many things that will enhance PowerPoint presentations I make in the future and I am thrilled about that.

Group work is coming along nicely and I think we are on track with what we are doing. We will see tomorrow once we let Dr. Dunn look through what we have. Our group is working well together and for that I am very grateful.

Many more things to learn later on and I am ready to tackle those projects to better enhance my teaching in the classroom.

Day One

Day one was much better than I expected. You often find yourself getting all worked up about an event and then find out that things are going to go smoothly once you are into what is happening. I met some great people today and it seemed almost as we had been life-long friends. The good news was that we are all in the same boat and everyone understands what we are going through. It is nice to have people who share your joys as well as your frustrations.

The class is of course led by an excellent professor (not trying for extra points...unless that actually helps :)). I am very excited about learning more about technology that can in return benefit what I do on a daily basis. I know there are so many things out there that I am unfamiliar with and am an open book ready to absorb. Despite the yapping he said he had to do today, it was a time that went by without much pain or frustration and I now have some valuable tools that will help me in my future dissertation research. That is the most exciting news of all. Any little piece that will help complete the puzzle is much needed and desired.

All in all...a great day. Looking forward to getting my fingers on the keys and creating in myself a techno whiz...who am I kidding...right?

Class Work

I am in the midst of my readings and can I just saw WOW! I am feeling a little overwhelmed with this class and my stats class I am in currently. It seems almost that when you get ahead you start to fall behind. And life with class and a two year old is NEVER dull. I keep telling myself like Dori did...Just keep swimmin...just keep swimmin.

This is my first time setting up a blog and not sure what to think. I am looking forward to learning more about technology this summer.

It proves to be a busy summer for me!!
